Windrush Celebration 2024

Sandwell Council will be celebrating the upcoming Windrush 2024
Celebration with two events taking place on Friday 21st June.
A seminar event will take place in the chambers at Oldbury Council House from 09:30- 2pm. We will have three guest speakers - Bishop Dr Desmond Jaddoo MBE (chair of the National Windrush Organisation), Dr Martin Glynn (Senior Lecturer in Criminology – Birmingham City University) and Ifemu Omari (PhD researcher). There will be refreshments, music and networking.
A second celebratory event taking place at the West Bromwich African Caribbean Resource Centre from 5-7:30pm, there will be stalls from local businesses, speakers and performers. Light refreshments will be provided.
