Shaping a new carer support service for Sandwell - live consultation
03 April 2024
Are you a family member, friend or neighbour who provides, or has provided, unpaid care to someone
living in Sandwell? Do you have family or friends in Sandwell who provide unpaid care?
Or are you someone whose job involves working with carers?
If you are, we are seeking your views as we plan to commission our new Carer's Support Service contract. We need your help to design this service to improve carer's lives.
The Carer's Support Service will be contracted to:
• provide a central contact point for carers and for carers' organisations
• raise the profile of carers and caring in Sandwell.
• provide a visible and accessible place where carers can access information advice and guidance.
• co-ordinate carer support activity to ensure there is a clear and accessible offer for carers in Sandwell.
• support action to deliver the Joint Carers Strategy 2022-26.
We are signposting to our dedicated carer support web pages so that carers can both access the online survey and information about how to share their views in alternative ways, and find out more about the current support offer for carers in Sandwell.
Drop-in sessions are also available for carers to share their experiences in a relaxed, informal settings. No need to book, just turn up.
